## What a skill is

A skill is a reusable set of instructions that tells the agent how to handle a specific kind of task. It turns "rewrite the prompt every time" into "invoke one tag".

## Using one

Call the skill by its tag in the conversation. The agent follows the defined procedure, so you skip re-explaining it.

## When it helps

- You repeat the same kind of task (a certain report, a fixed review flow)
- A standard procedure you share across a team
- A long prompt where you only need one slice of it
